Oct 29, 2021

Now that classes have been going on for quite a while, maybe it's time to check on your child and see how well he's doing in school.

Has he gotten used to his new routine? Is he making any friends? Is he having fun with the lessons? Is he learning more or less than what he's supposed to? These are just some of the things you should find out about your child's early experiences with formal education, especially if you plan on building his confidence in learning

Below are a few tips on how to help your child fully integrate himself into school and maximize his potential.

The Lunchbox

For parents, preparing their child's baon is indeed a labor of love. But beyond that, the choices you make each time you fill up his lunchbox can actually help your child go further in learning.

Instead of the usual processed meats and junk food, try packing healthy food that’s rich in vitamins and minerals to help nourish his mind.

Recess period can also do wonders for your child's social skills. Having good, nutritious food to share with his classmates make it easier for him to meet new friends.

The Homework

Assisting your child with his assignments allows you to share a precious bonding moment. Show him your constant support by reminding him of his homework and offering a helping hand, if he needs it.

Make it an exciting and rewarding task for your child so he'll be continuously inspired to learn in school. The idea is to teach your child at home and figure out where he might be having difficulties, so that he goes to school a lot more prepared.

Since teachers typically handle a class of twenty or more students, your child may not get as much attention as he needs when he's unsure of the lessons. That's where your focused guidance comes in to make sure nothing gets in the way of your child's learning.
